Jerome T. Murphy is a partner at Tressler LLP and an experienced litigator whose practice spans complex civil defense litigation, commercial and business disputes, governmental tort defense, personal injury defense, constitutional litigation, medical malpractice, and real estate transactions.

A third-generation attorney, Jerome grew up in the Chicago area surrounded by family members whose service through the legal profession inspired him to pursue a career in law. He earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Illinois and graduated cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2014.

Jerome’s approach to practicing law is grounded in disciplined preparation, humility, and clear communication. An early courtroom setback taught him the importance of anticipating an opponent’s strongest arguments rather than focusing solely on his own position—a lesson that continues to shape how he prepares for every matter. He approaches each case with fresh attention, continually looking for ways to deepen his understanding of the law and better serve his clients.
